How to check your Bank of America account online

Bank of America is one of the largest banking institutions in the United States. Since its creation it has absorbed several smaller banks including Fleet Bank, a former Massachusetts bank. While you can always stop at the local Bank of America branch, many customers choose to do most of their banking tasks online.

Checking, analyzing and conducting commercial transactions online is very simple, once you can access your account on the web.

Steps to check your Bank of America account online

  1. Create an online profile at Bank of America, if you have not already done so. To perform this task you need your debit card number, your account number, social security number and your email address. Complete the necessary information and create a username and password that you can easily remember.
  2. Confirm the creation of your online profile by clicking on the link that the Bank of America will send you via email. Your profile will be activated.
  3. Sign in to BankofAmerica.com. In the upper left corner you will be asked to enter your username and password. Be sure to write them correctly. On the next screen you should verify the avatar you created when you made your profile online. If the avatar is incorrect, sign out and call customer service.
  4. Click “Continue” if the avatar is correct. This will take you to a summary of your accounts. Choose the account you want to see and click on the link. This will take you to the account, where you can check balances, payments, disbursements, deposits and withdrawals.
